Microsoft could buy Second Life

Second Life is one of the first and most popular virtual communities at the time, having bonded to thousands of users for more than seven years in their social universe, a candy that seems Microsoft is very interested, which it says could have several sources made an offer to buy Second Life and its creators, Linden Lab.

The news emerged following the comment of a person immersed in the community of Second Life has said through his Twitter profile that a "little birdie told me that Microsoft has offered to buy Linden Lab this week." Poco después, otro mensaje ha indicado que de acuerdo a “una fuente muy respetable que continúa trabajando en Linden Lab”, Microsoft ha puesto sobre la mesa una oferta para realizar la compra. Soon after, another message stated that according to "a very respectable source that continues to work at Linden Lab, Microsoft has put on the table an offer to purchase.

If confirmed this news, which clearly surprising Microsoft would have made a striking business in the world of virtual communities, but for now we wait for a confirmation or denial on the part of those involved.
